Hinges can be found wherever it has to ‘swing, for example as fittings on furniture, doors and containers. At norelem, customers can now find an extended range of hinges for panel elements and aluminium profiles, from individual components to sets with installation accessories.
The hinge range from norelem now has five new product families: Aluminium hinge sets with internal stop and step, aluminium hinge halves with internal or external stop, the matching stainless steel hinge pins and plastic end caps. The hinges can be assembled left or right and can rotate through 360°.
All together: The complete set
The most popular is the set version. By these, norelem supplies hinges complete with all individual components, including two hinge halves, a hinge pin and two cover caps. The hinge can be loaded with up to 200 N in the x and y axis (non-binding guide value) and is supplied with a step on the back, as only one fastening screw is required. This means that the product can only be used for slot widths of 8 mm. The hinge can be supplied with an installation set that contains two countersunk screws and two slot keys. This variant is only suitable for the profile item.
Well combined: The components
Hinges can also be assembled according to customer requirements. The are available as in-frame and on-frame and in various widths (dimension A3), also available are matching stainless steel hinge pins and thermoplastic end caps. The load forces for these hinges are up to 100 N in the x-axis and up to 150 N in the y-axis (non-binding guide values). Advantages of individually configured hinges: Unlike the complete sets, they can be combined with the slot keys of the item and Bosch profiles (taking into account the M5 and M6 screw diameters).
Easily installed: Plastic pin hinges
The new articles also include plastic pin hinges in two versions with pin diameters of 6 mm or 8 mm. The opening angle for these hinges is 120°. They are suitable for in-frame doors, are not visible from the outside and can be installed for right or left use. They can also be used as indexing pins, are space-saving and quickly fitted: The polyamide housing contains an electro zinc-plated steel pin that is simply pressed into the spring-loaded grip.
